The Process of Awakening
There are many death and rebirth practices throughout the world that can lead to spiritual awakening. The process I use is EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. In my work, EMDR is used entirely for spiritual purposes rather than psychotherapy.
In psychotherapy, EMDR is designed to improve emotional regulation. It helps a person feel less afraid, reduce triggers, and function more effectively in the world. Its focus is on survival and stress reduction.
I do not use EMDR for emotional regulation. I use EMDR to dismantle a person’s false identity so they can return to their soul, which is their eternal nature. When someone orients themselves to their soul, they begin to live in alignment rather than misaligned and fragmented.
This process goes far deeper than standard EMDR because it initiates the death of one’s subjective identity. It is not a method of stabilization, but a method of intentional destabilization. I am provoking death, which naturally brings emotional instability. It brings emotional pain instead of relieving it. It is an ordeal.
This ordeal is a rite of passage. I guide people through this death rite so they can be reborn and remember the identity of their soul.
This is not crisis intervention. This process cannot be entered from a place of acute emotional crisis. It is the intentional death of identity for the purpose of rebirth.
It is a grief process. One must say goodbye to an old way of life in order to embrace a new one. It is not about coping with the life one already has. It is about turning away from that life entirely if it is not aligned with the soul.
This is life changing labor.
